The color of this dress is totally scrumptuous...a peachy pink chiffon done in soft flowing chiffon for the ultimate in femininity. It's by Jack Bryan and came from one of the premiere boutiques in Tulsa during the oil capital days. My guess is that it is from the late 60's/early 70's. It came from the estate of a college professor who evidently was refined and dignified, but totally feminine.
The peachy coral chiffon covers the bodice, creates the long full sleeves, gathers at the slightly raised waistline in a small cumberbund and then flows in a gorgeous sweep to the floor. The dress is totally lined (except for the sleeves, of course) in matching silky taffeta.
The bodice is wonderful done in closely spaced alternating rows of tiny silver sequins, silver bugle beads and crystal bugle beads. The beading is straight across the front and tapers slightly toward the middle on the back.
There is no size label in the dress. The bustline measures about 18" across lying flat and about 13" at the bottom of the cumberbund at the waist. The sleeves are 27" shoulder to gathered wrist; the back is 15-1/2" from neckline to waistline. The skirt is 40" in length, waist seam to the floor and flows in a wonderful sweep of over 330" around (if I measured correctly!). It will move beautifully!
This dress is done in a beautiful color that is wonderfully flattering and is styled to make you look your elegant best!
