According to the lady I got this from, the two bracelets I'm listing date from the early 1900-1920's. Her grandmother was born in the 1920's and they were in the family prior to her birth. They were bought in Topeka, Kansas. I share this just as the provenance for the pieces...I tend to believe that they are quite old because of the small wrist size...a lot of older pieces seem to have fit smaller women than we are today!
I did take these to a very knowledgeable person in this type of jewelry and he believes that they are indeed "old pawn" and most likely Navaho, and they seem to fit that genre well.
This is a smaller piece over all than its companion. It carries five graduated pieces of interesting turquoise on two silver bands. The turquoise is mounted in well detailed silver mounts and enhanced with silver details in between and at the sides. It measures 11/16" tall at the center and measures 5-3/8" inner circumference. Overall it is a more delicate look than the other, but they seem to be so compatible.
Here is another great piece of jewelry that deserves a new lease on life and to be appreciated for its beauty and history.
